My tree installation I spent a lot of time developing different pieces of animation to create a story. Even with limited time, I put in hours to really use effects that would create an Avatar like projection onto three palm trees. I tried creating each piece then using Arena to mask each individually but I struggled and couldn't figure out how to use a mask for each layer or part and it would change the previous. Also, I had to have the projector on its side in order to be able to create the image big enough so that it covered all of the tree or close to it. When I tried changing the rotation in Arena it cut the bottom of the graphics or animation. I tried figuring out why but it didn't work so I had to then go into Premiere Pro and change it manually. So that the file was rooted 90 degrees. Once I figured all of this out I then went and projected. Overall because of the first project the mapping went pretty smoothly. One of the trees on the left side I had difficulties with the points in the mask but with more time I could fix these. Also, I learned that the resources and equipment you have, becomes really important as well. The projector I was using the bulb is older but also when it projected colors were not exact and details from the animation weren't completely shown, but overall the story is there. Due to the details not fully shown, I am going to be adding another effect onto the tree to show the details better in a way the projector can show them.
